A Note from Director Lindsey Strand-Polyak

Welcome to our 2025-2026 Season!

I'm honored to be continuing the legacy of the beautiful concerts in Seattle that George Bozarth and Tamara Friedman have brought to the PNW for over 35 years.

Being named the new Director of Musique du Jour Presents is a true honor and a kind of a homecoming for me. I'm originally from Seattle, and I grew up having my mom take me to concerts at Queen Anne Christian Church, MdJP's season home. The Pacific Northwest is not only where I began my musical studies, it's also where I first performed professionally on baroque and classical violin.

I look forward to coming full circle this season: sharing fresh musical tunes and tales through the vibrant palette of historical performance, and creating opportunities for a new generation to start their own musical journeys.

Warmly,

Lindsey

A Note from Director Lindsey Strand-Polyak:

Welcome to Musique du Jour Presents' 2025-2026 Season!

I'm honored to be continuing on the legacy of beautiful concerts in Seattle that George Bozarth has brought to the PNW for over 35 years.

I'm originally from Seattle, and I grew up having my mom take me to concerts at Queen Anne Christian Church, Musique du Jour Presents' season home. The Pacific Northwest is not only where I grew up and began my musical studies, but it's also where I first performed professionally on baroque and classical violin.

I look forward this season to coming full circle: sharing new musical tunes and tales through the vintage color palette of historical performance. There will be a mix of familiar and fresh players joining me, and all of them are fabulous: Christine Beckman (violin), Adaiha MacAdam-Somer (cello), Page Smith (cello), and Tamara Friedman (fortepiano)... just to name a few!

I've loved history as long as I've loved violin (and I started at age 4!), so period performance practice let's me combine the two to explore the music I love most, using the tools and techniques that composers and players themselves would have used 200+ years ago.

Thanks for being here and being a part our Northwest musical community. I look forward to chatting with all of you at our concerts and subscriber events!

Warmly,

Lindsey Strand-Polyak

Our 2025-2026 Season...

I hope you'll consider joining us for all three of our 2025-2026 concerts by becoming a season subscriber  (and a huge thank you to those who have already subscribed!). Not only does a season pass give you plenty of time to find a babysitter... you also save $$$ vs. buying individual tickets, and you get reserved seats! In an era where planning even two weeks in advance is an investment, picking three afternoons out of the year dedicated to a little "musical me time" might just be the best kind of self care this season. I know Mozart and Handel always make my day better! Pair it with a pedicure beforehand or a walk to Kerry Park, and join us for a cup of tea afterwards.
